Sole Bay Inn
7 East Green, Southwold, Suffolk IP18 6JT
About
The Adnams brewery tap, tucked into the corner of East Green directly beneath the lighthouse, which means the tower is genuinely overhead when you sit outside. It pours the widest cask range in town plus a longer keg and bottle list, and the kitchen runs a seaside menu of local seafood, pub classics and sandwiches with a daily specials board that follows what has actually landed. Open from noon to close every day, with food served Monday to Saturday 12pm to 2.30pm and 6pm to 8.30pm, and Sundays 12pm to 4pm. Children and well-behaved dogs are welcome. It is a two-minute walk from the beach and about the same from the High Street, which makes it the obvious first or last stop of a Southwold day.
