Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: 2 March 2026

Some links on TravelPlan.guide are, or may become, affiliate links. This means we may earn a small commission if you click through and make a booking or purchase, at no extra cost to you. This helps us keep the site free and independent.

How It Works

When you click an affiliate link on our site (for example, a “Book Now” button on a hotel or activity listing), you are redirected to the booking provider’s website. If you complete a booking or purchase during that visit, the provider pays us a referral commission. The price you pay is exactly the same whether you use our link or go to the provider’s site directly.

Our Affiliate Partners

We work with, or are in the process of joining, the following affiliate programmes. This list will grow as the site expands:

  • Booking.com (via CJ Affiliate) for accommodation bookings

Additional affiliate partners (activity providers, car hire, restaurants, travel insurance, gear) will be added over time. This page will be updated accordingly.

Editorial Independence

Affiliate partnerships do not influence our editorial content. We recommend places and activities based on genuine local knowledge and research, not because of commercial relationships. Every restaurant, activity, and accommodation on TravelPlan.guide is included because we believe it genuinely helps visitors to that location, not because it pays us a commission.

Not every listing on the site has an affiliate link. Many local businesses we recommend have no affiliate programme at all. We feature them anyway because they deserve to be discovered.

Identifying Affiliate Links

Pages that contain affiliate links include a short disclosure notice near the relevant links (e.g., “This page contains affiliate links. We may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.”). Affiliate links typically point to external booking platforms and are marked with an external link indicator where practical.

Legal Compliance

This disclosure is made in accordance with the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines on endorsements, the EU Unfair Commercial Practices Directive, and the Irish Consumer Protection Act 2007. Affiliate tracking cookies are only activated with your consent. See our Cookie Policy and Privacy Policy for details.
