Heaneys
6-10 Romilly Crescent, Pontcanna, Cardiff, CF11 9NR
About
Tommy Heaney's flagship in Pontcanna, open since October 2018 and the restaurant most Cardiff food people name first when asked where to spend a proper evening. The kitchen cooks seasonal, produce-led plates that run from a quick lunch through a sociable a la carte to the signature tasting menus, with some of the vegetables coming from the restaurant's own chef's garden. It sits on Romilly Crescent, the row that has quietly become the city's best food street, and the same team runs Uisce, the oyster and wine bar next door, if you only want a glass and a few small plates.
