The 44 Group's Spanish grill on Quay Street, a serious asador built around charcoal and wood-fired cooking: dry-aged chuleton steaks carved for the table, whole fish over the coals, and vegetables treated with the same respect as the meat, much of the produce sourced directly from northern Spain. The room is dark, handsome and smells properly of woodsmoke. It sits a minute from the Principality Stadium, which makes it either the best or the most impossible table in Cardiff depending on whether there is a match on.
