About
A roadside monument to Master McGrath, a local greyhound and a genuine Victorian celebrity, at the junction of the Clonmel and Cappoquin roads outside Dungarvan. Local legend, widely repeated, holds that he won the Waterloo Cup three times around 1868, 1869 and 1871, and was the first dog to do so. The monument was moved to its current spot in 1933.
