McDermott's Pub
Roadford, Doolin, Co. Clare
About
McDermott's, in the upper village at Roadford, has been in the McDermott family since 1867, four generations of it, and is run today by Patsy and Stephen McDermott. It is a locals' pub at heart that happens to be one of the best-known trad rooms in the country, with live traditional music nightly and a close tie to the Russell festival. The kitchen serves bar food through the day, from late morning to around nine in the evening: soups, seafood chowder, sandwiches and hearty mains. It can get packed when the music is on, so come early to eat.
