Gus O'Connor's Pub
Fisher Street, Doolin, Co. Clare, V95 FY67
About
Gus O'Connor's is the pub most people mean when they talk about Doolin and the music. Established in 1832 and sitting on Fisher Street near the harbour, it has been a centre of the local trad tradition for the best part of a century, with the Russell brothers and a long line of renowned musicians playing here. The kitchen does it justice: pan-fried Doolin crab claws, fresh seafood, locally reared steak and a proper full Irish breakfast, served all day. Sessions run most nights from early in the year through November and at weekends year-round, including the long-running early Sunday session. You do not book a table, you arrive and find a corner, ideally before the music starts.
