York's own gin distillery, with a much-awarded shop at 12 Pavement opposite the end of the Shambles, in one of the city's handsome timber-framed buildings. The range runs from the classic London Dry to fruit and spiced expressions, all distilled in York; the shop pours free tasters, runs a refill station where any 700ml spirit bottle can be refilled at a discount, and has been named York's best shop three times in the Visit York Tourism Awards, most recently winning in 2023. The distillery side runs gin school and tasting experiences at Middletons Hotel on Skeldergate.
