The Swan, Southwold
The Swan, Market Place, Southwold, Suffolk IP18 6EG
About
The Swan stands on the Market Place at the middle of Southwold and is owned and run by Adnams, whose brewery and distillery are on the same block. It was among the first hotels in Britain to be given a Michelin Key. Rooms are split between the main house and the garden rooms behind it, and the Still Room restaurant and the Tap Room both sit inside the building, so it is possible to arrive without a car and not need one again. The Adnams Tours Centre is through the archway in the same courtyard, which makes this the practical base for anyone here for the brewery, distillery or lighthouse tours. Rooms book through the hotel's own reservation system. Room numbers were not independently confirmed during this research pass.
