A Victorian building of 1901 on Station Road, at the northern edge of the town centre, trading as The Bay Hotel; longer-standing visitors will know the same building as the Blyth Hotel, and the change of name is worth knowing when following older recommendations. Rooms are sold on a room-only basis, which suits Southwold, where breakfast is easy to find within a few minutes' walk. Doubles, kings and family rooms, some with balconies, plus a separate apartment. Station Road is named for the terminus of the vanished narrow-gauge Southwold Railway; there has been no railway station in Southwold since 1929. Room numbers were not independently confirmed during this research pass.
