The Corn Mill
Dee Lane, Llangollen, Denbighshire, LL20 8PN
About
A Brunning and Price pub in the old mill on Dee Lane, with the water wheel still turning in the bar. The Canal & River Trust's town walk says the mill was founded in the 13th century by Cistercians from Valle Crucis Abbey, mostly rebuilt in 1786 and worked as a mill until 1974. The pub's contact page gives opening from noon to 11pm Monday to Saturday and noon to 10.30pm on Sunday, with food from noon to 8pm Monday to Thursday and Sunday and to 9pm on Friday and Saturday. It takes bookings but keeps room for people who turn up, with a waiting list at the bar.
