Mono
10-12 King's Court, King Street, Glasgow, G1 5RB
About
A vegan cafe bar, gig venue and record shop (Monorail Music, run from inside the same space) on King Street in the Merchant City, open since 2002 and one of the anchors of Glasgow's independent, DIY music culture. The kitchen is entirely vegan, the beer list favours small independent breweries, and gigs and events run through the space most weeks, so the room's identity is as much a music venue as a place to eat. Airy and unpretentious rather than precious about any of it.
