About

One of Glasgow's oldest family-run restaurants, open on Albion Street in the Merchant City since 1979 and a genuine Scottish institution rather than a heritage prop. The room is known for its Tim Stead furniture, hand-built oak and elm pieces that are part of the reason regulars keep coming back, and the menu runs a straightforward, well-sourced Scottish line-up through the day, from breakfast to dinner. Bar Gandolfi upstairs offers a smaller, later-opening companion space. Open long hours daily, useful for a meal at almost any time.
