The big white hotel on the Quay, facing the Boat Float, which St Austell Brewery reopened in October 2025 after a refurbishment that closed it for most of that year. The bar downstairs is the town's fireside pub, with St Austell's cask beers and a menu of pub classics and seasonal plates; the Sloop, upstairs, is the restaurant, with views over the river. Food service starts at 8am. The pub's own page lists food from 8am to 11.30am and 12pm to 9pm Monday to Saturday, and 8am to 11am and 12pm to 8.30pm on Sundays. Dogs are allowed in the bar. There are 24 bedrooms upstairs (see the Stay section).
