The 73,931-seat national stadium, opened in 1999 for the Rugby World Cup and still called the Millennium Stadium by most of the city, stands right in the centre on the bank of the Taff, and its tours take you where match tickets do not: the Wales dressing room, the players' tunnel, the pitchside and the royal box. Tours run most days, with special formats including Rugby Legend tours led by former internationals, and book through the stadium's own booking site. On match days the tour schedule gives way to the real thing, which is worth planning a whole trip around if you can get a ticket.
