Old Head of Kinsale & Lusitania Museum

About
The museum and memorial garden set in the restored Napoleonic signal tower above the Old Head cliffs, the first Signature Discovery Point on the Wild Atlantic Way. This is the public-facing attraction on the headland, and it sits close to the water where the Lusitania was torpedoed on 7 May 1915 with the loss of around 1,197 lives. The museum tells that story and the wider history of the head, and the memorial garden remembers the dead. Note that the tip of the headland is a private golf course with no public access, so the signal tower museum is where visitors go.
