Emilia's Ristorante
The Square, Enniskerry, Co. Wicklow
About
Emilia's is the family-run Italian on the Square, in the low painted terrace that runs along the western side beneath the clock tower, and it is the village's evening room. It opens for dinner only, Tuesday to Sunday, which catches out day visitors who assume anywhere in a tourist village does lunch. The menu is straightforward Italian and pizzeria cooking rather than anything reinvented, it does takeaway as well as tables, and it has been here long enough that the locals treat a Friday booking as a standing arrangement. There is no website; reservations are taken by phone, and on a Saturday in summer you want to make one.
