The Hops is the bar at the d hotel on Marsh Road, right on the south bank with the boardwalk outside the windows, and it is one of the few places in Drogheda where you can sit with a drink and actually look at the Boyne. The drinks list leans deliberately local, with spirits from the distilleries around the town and local craft beer alongside a long gin and cocktail selection, and the food is a straightforward bar menu with a kids' menu beside it. It shows sport every weekend, which is either the reason to come or the reason not to. Weekend opening only at present, Friday to Sunday, 11am to midnight.
