About
A tiny stone harbour facing the island, and the historic reason Dalkey exists. In the medieval period this was the main port serving Dublin, when ships anchored in the sound and ferried cargo ashore here. Today it is a handful of small boats, a slipway, and a free public telescope trained on the Martello tower and the goats across the water. The departure point for the island boats.
