The distillery behind Whitby Gin, on Botany Way on the edge of the town, distilling small-batch gin with botanicals drawn from this coast and the moors behind it. It runs a shop and visitor offer at the distillery itself rather than only selling through third parties, so you can see where the still actually is, which is more than most gin brands with a seaside name can say. It is out of the town centre and a short drive or a longer walk from the harbour, so treat it as a deliberate trip rather than something you pass.
