Adnams Copper House Distillery Tour
About
The Copper House Distillery sits on the same Southwold site as the brewery, behind a glass frontage on the corner where you can see the columns working from the street. Unusually, Adnams distils its own base spirit from barley and other grains rather than buying it in, then redistils it with botanicals for the gins, and the 90-minute tour makes that chain legible before moving to the tasting bar for five Adnams gins and the Longshore vodka. Panoramic distillery windows give a view over the town roofs on the way round. It costs 27.50 pounds, is over-18s only and departs from the Adnams Tours Centre in The Swan Courtyard on the Market Place, the same meeting point as the brewery and lighthouse tours. Longer whisky and make-your-own-gin experiences run from the same place.
