Two Magpies began on Southwold High Street in 2013 and has since spread along the Suffolk and Norfolk coast, but this is the original site and still the busiest bakery counter in town. Bread, pastries and cakes from the bake school side of the business, plus a sit-in menu that carries the morning through to mid-afternoon. Open every day 8.00 to 17.00, which makes it one of the few reliable early stops in a town where a lot of doors do not open until ten. Queues out onto the pavement on summer weekends are normal, and the pastry case thins out well before closing.
