The Still Room at The Swan
The Swan, Market Place, Southwold, Suffolk IP18 6EG
About
The Swan's dining room, on the Market Place at the centre of Southwold, inside a hotel that was among the first in Britain to be given a Michelin Key. The Still Room takes its name from the Adnams distilling operation on the same block, and the kitchen leans on the Suffolk coast and the estate behind it. The Swan also runs a less formal Tap Room for people who want an Adnams pint and a plate rather than a full dinner, so the same building covers both ends of an evening. Tables book through the hotel's own reservation system rather than a third-party aggregator. Afternoon tea is served here too and needs booking ahead. Because the Adnams Tours Centre is through the archway in the same courtyard, this is the natural place to eat either side of a brewery, distillery or lighthouse tour.
