Moulin Inn
11-13 Kirkmichael Road, Moulin, Pitlochry, PH16 5EW
About
The pub in Moulin, the old village uphill from the town, a little over a kilometre north of the centre in a straight line, which the Moulin Hotel says first opened its doors in 1695. The bar is the end most popular with locals, and there are no jukeboxes or pool tables, by the hotel's own account. The ales come from the Moulin Brewery across the road, which opened in 1995 and, by the hotel's account, sells most of its beer across the road; it brews Ale of Atholl and the stronger Old Remedial, among others. There is a specials board, and an enclosed patio and beer garden for good days. It is the natural stop at the bottom of Ben Vrackie. The hotel's pages do not publish food times; phone 01796 472196 before you walk up for dinner.
