Peter's is the chip shop on The Parade, thirty seconds from the sand, and it is the single most-reviewed food business in Margate by a very wide margin. That is the correct measure of what it is: not a discovery, not a find, just the place the town and everyone visiting it has eaten fish and chips for decades. It opens late, to 22:00 most nights and 23:00 on Friday and Saturday, which on a summer evening in Margate is the difference between eating and not eating.
