Cardiff Boat Tours: the Princess Katharine Water Bus
About
The prettiest journey in Cardiff is the one between its two centres: the Princess Katharine, a 90-seat water bus run by Cardiff Boat Tours, shuttles down the River Taff between Bute Park (by the castle) and Cardiff Bay, past the stadium and the river's herons and cormorants. Departures run on the hour from the Bay and on the half hour from Bute Park; singles around £8 adult, £4 child, with hour-long round trips also offered. Pay on board, no online booking. Note the operator's own emphatic disclaimer: it has no connection with the separately run aquabus or cruise services on the same water.
