Drakes Hotel Brighton
43-44 Marine Parade, Brighton, BN2 1PE
About
Drakes has twenty boutique rooms across a pair of Regency townhouses on Marine Parade, directly on the seafront looking out at the Palace Pier, where the centre shades into Kemptown. Several rooms have freestanding baths positioned by the window, which sounds like a gimmick until you are lying in one watching the sun go down over the water. The hotel takes dogs, runs its own small bar, and books up fast in summer given how few rooms it has. It is quieter than the big seafront hotels further west, though still a short walk into the Lanes.
