About
A restaurant and bar in a former marble works by the river. Its own site says the building went up in 1810 as a marble works, that a glass floor in front of the bar shows the old millstream running underneath, and that the beer garden is the only one in Bakewell that overlooks the Wye. It was the Pointing Dog and Duck until Cath and Malc, who are local, took over and renamed it after the building's history. The kitchen serves fresh, homemade food; the site recommends booking, which is done by phone or email, and stops taking walk-ins once the restaurant is full.
