Llyfrgell Genedlaethol Cymru sits on Penglais Hill above the town, and the exhibitions are free. As of 29 September 2026 its exhibitions page lists Mary Lloyd Jones: Layers (25 July 2026 to 10 April 2027), Gypsy Girls (19 September 2026 to 27 February 2027), and the permanent Treasures, Peacemakers and On Air exhibitions. The Library says there is a free car park at the side of the building, and Caffi Pen Dinas is inside. The Library gives the walk from the train station as 15 minutes, or around 20 with the steep climb up Penglais Hill.

- →Exhibitions open Monday to Friday 09:30 to 17:30 and Saturday 09:30 to 16:30. Reading Room items for a Saturday must be ordered by 16:15 the Thursday before.
- →The Library warns that older sat navs confuse its postcode with Llanbadarn Road below; follow the signs up Penglais Hill.
