The Ship and Castle on High Street is Aber's real ale flagship, in the words of the local CAMRA branch when it named the pub CAMRA West Wales Pub of the Year in 2022. It pours changing microbrewery guests, Gwenty Draig cider, craft keg such as Polly's and Tiny Rebel and a few bottles, and sells a five-pump platter of third-pint measures for the undecided. The decor follows the pub's name and history, and it is where the town watches the Six Nations. No website was found, so hours here come from the CAMRA listing.
