Halpin's Bridge Cafe & Bistro
Bridge Street, Wicklow Town, Co. Wicklow
About
Halpin's is the daytime room in Wicklow: a family-run cafe and bistro at the bridge on Bridge Street, a few steps from the Vartry and a short walk from the quays. It opened in 2009 under Robert Doyle and has been run since 2018 by Steven and Eilish Rawson and their four daughters. The trade is built on an all-day breakfast that people in the town will name without prompting, alongside specialty coffee and a bistro menu, with indoor and outdoor seating and takeaway. The name is not decoration: this is Halpin country, at the bridge where Captain Robert Halpin's family kept their tavern.
