Martin Shanahan's harbourside flagship is the name most people reach for first when they say Kinsale and seafood in the same breath. The kitchen works off the day's landings on Crowleys Quay, and the Blue Room cocktail bar upstairs takes the overflow and the aperitifs. It is a sit-down restaurant rather than a casual drop-in, so it pays to book ahead in season. Closed Tuesdays.
