Killarney House & Gardens
About
The closest piece of the park to the town, Killarney House sits just inside the Knockreer entrance off the Muckross Road and now holds the National Park visitor centre, with a free interactive exhibition that is the best place to get your bearings before heading into the park. The formal gardens behind it frame a classic view straight up to the Reeks, and they are open daily and free. It is a ten-minute walk from the town centre.
