About

The cobbled pedestrian spine that runs from Shop Street down into Quay Street is the bohemian heart of Galway. It is wall to wall cafes, restaurants and pubs, with buskers on every corner and trad sessions spilling out of doorways. Nearly every city festival runs part of itself through here, so the mood changes with the calendar. Walk it slowly, stop for a pint, and let the music decide your evening.
