About
Galway Atlantaquaria is Ireland's largest native-species aquarium, on the Salthill prom overlooking Galway Bay. It keeps the fish and other animals of Ireland's own rivers, lakes, canals and coast, and it has been running for more than 25 years with a strong line in conservation and education. Expect interactive exhibits and live talks, and a good hour or two with children on a wet day.

Tips
- →Open 10am to 5pm on weekdays and 10am to 6pm at weekends, last entry an hour before closing.
- →It is on the Seapoint Promenade in Salthill, a walk along the prom from town.
