About
Droichead is the town's arts centre and it runs on two sites: a 169-seat theatre and a contemporary visual arts gallery on Stockwell Street, and Barlow House on Narrow West Street, an 18th-century Georgian townhouse holding artists' spaces and print studios. The programme is genuinely multidisciplinary and year-round: theatre, cinema, live music, exhibitions, film club seasons, workshops, and residencies for artists working in the region. It is also the engine behind a lot of what happens in the town outside its own walls, including the DRAWDA mural trail and a share of the Boyne Midsummer Festival programme.
