A steep public stairway of 238 stone steps climbing from the Vico Road up onto Dalkey Hill. It is the short, sharp way to the top, a local rite of passage and a serious set of calf muscles by the time you reach the gate at the summit ridge. The reward is the full sweep of Dublin Bay. The steps are uneven and have no buggy or wheelchair access.
