About
A roughly 5km looped boardwalk and trail across Derrygimlagh bog, around 4km south of Clifden, and one of the Wild Atlantic Way's signature Discovery Points. This is where Marconi built the world's first commercial transatlantic wireless station, operational from 1907, and where Alcock and Brown crash-landed the first non-stop transatlantic flight in June 1919. Interpretive stops mark the ruins of the wireless station and the spot where the plane came down.
