Dan O'Hara's Homestead & Connemara Heritage Centre

← All things to do

About

A heritage and history centre on the N59 around 7km east of Clifden, telling the story of Connemara through a museum, an audiovisual presentation, the restored famine-era cottage of Dan O'Hara, and reconstructed ancient dwellings, with a hilltop walk over the farm. It is run by a local family and is a good wet-weather option that puts the wider Connemara landscape into context. Opening is seasonal, so check before you travel.
