The Tea Rooms at King House
The Courtyard, King House, Military Road, Boyle, Co. Roscommon
About
The tea rooms are in the courtyard behind King House, in the old outbuildings that now hold the town's craft shop and Saturday market. It is a daytime café in a period room: scones and coffee, a full Irish, sandwiches and a lunch special, and cakes that the King House staff are not shy about recommending. You do not need a ticket for the house to eat here, because the courtyard is open on its own. It is the obvious place to sit down after a tour or between the abbey and the market, and on a Saturday morning it fills with people who have just done the market stalls outside.
