About
A restaurant with rooms in Sandsend, the village along the beach about four kilometres north west of Whitby, in a Georgian property built around 1750 that once housed the alum mining office. It is a seafood restaurant first and a place to stay second, and the reason to book it is to eat there and not have to drive back. Sandsend is quieter than Whitby by an order of magnitude and the walk between the two along the beach at low tide is one of the best hours on this coast. Book a table and a room together through the house's own site.
