A tearoom and cafe bar in a walled garden off Silver Street on the West Side, and the town's best answer to the question of where to go that is not about fish. It runs as a daytime cafe most of the week and stays open into the evening on Fridays and Saturdays as a bar, with a gin list that is a serious part of the offer rather than a gesture. The garden is the reason to come: enclosed, planted, and completely out of the wind, which on this coast is not a small thing. It is small and it fills, so go early or accept a wait. Its own website did not resolve during research, so call for anything time-sensitive.
