On the corner of Rother Street and Greenhill Street, a few minutes from the Birthplace, and a pub that sells itself on age: it bills itself as the oldest pub in Stratford, though the Garrick makes a similar claim. Inside it is a proper town pub with a real fire, a Sunday roast the pub is known for, meat from a butcher it names on its own site, a list of guest ales and wines it says are exclusive to Fuller's. It also has the story its own site tells, of a murder on Christmas Day 1795 and a victim, Joseph Pinfield, who is said to haunt the place. Dogs and children are welcome.
