The distillery east of the town, dating back to 1825 by its own account and describing itself on its site as the smallest traditional distillery in Scotland. For years it was the end point of the walk up through Black Spout Wood, and visitors on travel forums named its tour the one to choose. It is closed now: the distillery says it will remain closed to the public until further notice, including all tours, the shop and the tasting bar, because of a shortage of staff. The whisky is still sold through its online shop. The Black Spout and Edradour walk still passes the buildings.
