Padstow Museum
About
The town museum is run by volunteers and now sits in Station House at the bottom of Station Road, in the old railway station building. The museum's own site says entry is free with a collection box for donations, and it is where you can read about the 'Obby 'Oss, the railway, the lifeboat and shipwrecks in the town's own words. Its opening season runs from 10 February to 12 December, Monday to Friday, 10.30am to 4pm, subject to volunteer availability, so ring or check before a special trip. The tourist office still gives older opening dates (Easter to the end of October); the museum's own page is the one to trust.
