National Lobster Hatchery
About
A marine conservation, research and education charity on the South Quay, open every day from 10am to 4pm. Its work is with a commercial species, the European lobster: hatchery-reared lobsters are released into the sea, and the visitor centre lets you see them, along with pregnant lobsters and other coastal creatures. It stands next to the main car park at the head of the Camel Trail, so it slots in before or after a ride. Adult entry is 9 pounds, child (3 to 15) 7 pounds and a family ticket (two adults, two children) 29 pounds, and tickets are valid for 12 months from the first visit. It runs events through the year, including a Halloween half-term trail and an Easter exhibition in 2027.
