An independent cheesemonger in the Covered Market since 1983, at the Market Street entrance, stacking a counter of British and continental artisan cheeses with a particular line in rare alpine cheeses and goat and ewe's milk cheeses from small producers. It is the obvious first stop for a Port Meadow picnic and the source of Oxford-named cheeses that make better souvenirs than anything in the gift shops. Note the early-week closures: currently closed Monday and Tuesday, with hours through the rest of the week.
