The original Ben's Cookies stall, opened in the Covered Market in 1984 with a recipe built on chunks of chocolate rather than chips, and the start of what became an international chain; the Covered Market site at units 108-109 is where it all began. Cookies are baked on site through the day and sold warm by weight. Open Monday to Wednesday 9:15am to 5:30pm, Thursday and Friday to 6pm, Saturday to 7pm, and Sunday 11am to 5pm.
