The town's other course, on the headland east of the harbour at Tantallon Terrace, and the one a visiting golfer is more likely to get on to at short notice. The Glen runs over clifftop ground with the Firth of Forth on one side and the Bass Rock straight ahead, which makes it a memorable round even for people who are indifferent about golf. The club describes it as a challenging but enjoyable test for all levels rather than a championship examination, and the clubhouse restaurant, carvery and afternoon teas are open beyond the membership.
