About

The distillery at Lochy Bridge, north-east of the town centre. Its own history says John MacDonald, 'Long John', built it in 1825, that the Japanese company Nikka Whisky acquired it in 1989, and that the visitor centre opened in 1991. The visitor centre and coffee shop run guided tours and tastings, which are booked by email or by phone rather than online. The coffee shop is closed at weekends.
